FSF Case Study

About the Project

  • For the 2025 Fashion Scholarship Fund case study prompt, I questioned how returning to the craft, especially through wedding dresses, could expand the consumer market for David’s Bridal. For my proposal, the ‘Something Borrowed Made New’ design initiative, A bride can send in an old wedding dress along with their measurements and work directly with a David’s Bridal artisan to create a new, meaningful dress that incorporates their style. Customers may pick from a pre-made design template to be sized according to their measurements using AI software, or work personally with a designer to create a completely new look. The dress is sent back to the bride as a new unique piece that honors the woman in their life who cared enough to save their wedding dress for them.
